And while the place I am being put up at is MILES out of town (and I have no car) and allows me no cell phone coverage, there is at least free internet and I have my own (!) giant bathroom. However, I will be calling Company Management for rides nearly every day, so I hope they like me. Do you think I could call them to drive my drunk ass home at 2 am, or is that outside the acceptable parameters for requesting a ride? I just hope my housing distance doesn't make it hard to meet new friends.

First Day....
So today was the first official day of the Opera New Jersey summer season and it started with the usual "Welcome Meeting" that is held every year. This is basically a time where everyone meets everyone else, chats, and tries to subtly scope the other talent out. What school you went to, where you are currently living and what young artist program you have done/are doing are all popular subjects of conversation to figure out where you lie in the pecking order. And after lunch, there is the annual "Aria Sing-Off," otherwise known as "Death By Aria." Luckily, my Festival Artist status gets me a free pass on that delightful rite of passage and I went to Target instead. Hey, it is my last full day with my rental car and I need to take full advantage of it!
